Together with a trio of Berlin musicians, pianist Chiyan Wong fuses classical and jazz in a daring and imaginative programme that captures the soul of old Hong Kong and the energy of its future. Inspired by the city’s cultural roots, history and innovation, his unique musical voice reflects a heady mix of influences from the songs of Hong Kong’s historic boat-dwelling fishermen to Brazilian bossa nova and Debussy.
